Great place to go! And a bonus to be across the street from the Capitol! The food and service were both great!

I haven't been here in years because life is crazy and it was better than I remember! I got the cheese curds as an appetizer, and those were delicious. Along with the two dipping sauces. They tasted homemade. I tried the fish platter that had the perch, walleye and cod, because I couldn't decide which fish to have. And that was the right choice. The coleslaw was really delicious and not smothered in mayo like a lot of other places. The portions are quite large, so I wasn't able to finish everything. Our server was very friendly, attentive and quick. Our table overlooked the view of the capital and the decor of the restaurant was really neat in the old vintage building. They had so many amazing food items on the menu from local places and I'm really excited to go back to try more.

We ordered takeout from here and it was definitely not the best, my daughter had the French toast and a chai latte. The toast was okay but not anything special, the fruit was mushy and the chai tasted like sugar and water, there was barely any actual flavor, my husband tried it and thought the same thing. He had chili poached eggs. The eggs were overcooked with a solid yoke, potato’s were more than overcooked, most of it burnt to a crisp and only a little bit edible. I had the avocado toast and it met the description nothing to rave about so I’m not going to exaggerate. My husband and daughter’s meal reviews were their own words. We tried to share the bacon but it was extremely tough to the point where it hurt your teeth. We had takeout so I can’t give an accurate read on the atmosphere but it seemed pretty good. The staff was very kind nothing bad about the service but since we got takeout the review is mostly on the food.

My husband and I frequent this place on weekends. The food never disappoints! The workers all seem to have been there for years which is a testament to management too!

Came for lunch with work colleagues. Service was good, waitress took care of all requests. Cheese curds to start, they were okay, no gooey and needed some seasoning in the crust. I went with the Reuben, looked great but the sandwich was disappointing. Meat was tough, I think they forgot the thousand Island dressing, worst part was the bread, tasted old. Mac and cheese looked great.

We rented out the Great Dane ratheskeller basement for our wedding welcome party. They were very responsive with our questions leading up and let us come in early even to set up before our official start time. We had a rehearsal dinner there for an hour with just our immediate parties and then everyone else from the wedding was invited (around 70 people came). Food was great but the drinks were on the slower side just for the dinner part since there was about 20 guests and 2 servers. The drinks themselves were good though. Once more people showed up though, the atmosphere was great down there and everyone had a good time. Would highly recommend. We loved their buffalo chicken dip.

Lucille in downtown Madison is a fantastic place! Great atmosphere, delicious food, and excellent service. The restaurant has a fun, lively vibe while still feeling welcoming and comfortable. Everything was well done, and the overall experience was outstanding. Definitely a place worth visiting when you’re in Madison. Highly recommend!

No idea what we were getting into with this random find, went in to a casual, neighborhood bar kind of atmosphere, and got a nice seat by the window to watch the neighborhood go by. Had to introduce my dining companion to cheese curds, and these were a great example. Simple, fried well, delicious. Lots of local beers and other drink options. We settled in and ordered a couple of burgers. The burgers were some of the best smashburger type I've had. Great flavor, cooked properly, great cheese and other options and a good, soft bun. Highly recommended. We may even return during our short stay in Madison.

The eggs Benedict with cured salmon was outstanding. The silky salmon paired perfectly with the rich, creamy hollandaise, while the perfectly poached eggs and toasted English muffin tied everything together. Fresh, flavorful, and a delicious twist on a classic brunch favorite. Definitely will be back

Came at midnight after a late flight into Madison. As a Midwesterner I had to get a burger and cheese curds, and they didn’t disappoint!

Made a decision to swing by Ian’s on our Madison Wisconsin vacation. This restaurant did not disappoint! The pizza was phenomenal, with a variety of options and excellent drinks to choose from. And to top it off the on tap hard cider was less than $5 per glass. Made this trip very memorable for us after taking the chance at Ian’s. You’ll get a filling meal with drinks for less than $30, you better stop in!

Busy place in the evening. Might need to wait a while for food, but it was well worth the wait. Delicious and great portion.
