We visited Wren & Wolf yesterday for brunch and had mixed feelings about the experience. The highlight of our meal was definitely the West Coast oysters, which were phenomenal! They were fresh, flavorful, and easily the best part of our visit. Unfortunately, the shrimp and grits were a major disappointment. While the shrimp itself was good quality, the shrimp was covered in tomato sauce, which completely overpowered the flavors. This was my first time having shrimp and grits with a tomato sauce base, and hopefully, it will be my last. The dish lacked the balance and depth of flavor I expect from a good shrimp and grits. One other area that needs attention is cleanliness. I would highly recommend dusting the decorative pieces hanging from the ceiling. When we looked up, all we could see was dust accumulated on the decorations. It was distracting and took away from the overall dining experience. Overall, the oysters were a standout, but the shrimp and grits left much to be desired. With some adjustments to the menu and more attention to detail in maintaining the dining area, Wren & Wolf could offer a much better brunch experience!

Fantastic experience at Harumi downtown! The service was incredibly quick and friendly. Jason(?), our waiter, was great to talk with and made fantastic drink recommendations for mezcal-based drinks that weren’t in the menu, which I super appreciated. Food was great and worth the price points as well. Even found out that the music is chosen by the manager for shows performing that night (modest mouse hits were rad to hear), which made the atmosphere really fun before the show! Props to the quick food/drink service and management for a great experience!

Enjoyed a fantastic meal before our concert Saturday night. Adreil was our server and was so amazing! I have allergies to food as well as Celiac Disease. He worked with the chef to ensure that I had a safe dining experience. This might become our spot for pre or post baseball game dining

Smells like Guinness farts. Lovely chandeliers, though. Good music and good pasties, so there’s that. The fries were soggy. The proposed solution was to put “them back in the oven.” Are we in famine times? Surely we can spare another potato rather than send my disappointing fries through a second round of treatment. No thank you. They did take the fries off the check, which I appreciated. Three stars. Would return for a pasty, but the fries and I are finished.

Food was lukewarm and mediocre. One plate was brought out almost ten minutes before the others. Charged extra for salsa with chips. Atmosphere was fine, though a photographer was going table to table with a very bright flash. Servers were friendly, but appear to be offering free items in exchange for positive reviews, so draw your own conclusions about the ratings here.

ACCUSED OF SEXUAL H̲A̲R̲A̲S̲S̲M̲E̲N̲T̲ I go there (used to go there) many times. However today the manager came up to me and asked if he could talk to me. He was nice I guess, however he accused me of saying the last few times as I was leaving of telling the host "Good Boy" as I would leave, and they felt uncomfortable. He said it loud enough for the gentleman sitting next to me to gasp. I apologized and said I never said that and he said he trusts his staff (as any good manager should). However after I left and told my gf what happened she immediately said that my Midwestern accent comes out when I say very common phrases. For example- GOOD BYE (NOT GOOD BOY). So unless you want to be accused of being a predator I would find a different place. I haven't been this embarrassed in years. Being accused of that publicly, and so loudly, was humiliating. Disgusting!!!!! What a joke.
